M-Carb - Thermal analyzer for metal quality control

The M-Carb is a high-precision measuring system for the thermal analysis of molten metal that has been specially developed for quality control in foundries. It enables the exact determination of the carbon and silicon content as well as the analysis of the cooling curve - a decisive basis for evaluating the material properties.

Thanks to state-of-the-art, robust hardware, the M-Carb delivers reliable measurement results with high precision and reproducibility. As a stand-alone system, it can be used directly on site - additional peripheral devices such as PCs or external displays are not required.

Areas of application & advantages

  • Multifunctional analysis: display of the complete cooling curve and precise determination of the chemical composition (%C, %Si, %CE)
  • Autonomous operation: stand-alone device - no additional devices required for operation or display
  • Customizable configuration: Flexible parameters for different metal types and process requirements
  • Robust construction: Industrial-grade design for use in harsh foundry environments
  • Short analysis times: Fast provision of results - initial results possible within seconds

Four different measurement modes

Configurable via 4 independent inputs, these measurement modes are available:
